REMOTE START THE VEHICLE/ENGINE

Start the vehicle so it’s ready for your departure or cancel a remote start command.

1. From the app’s home screen, press and hold the centre CLIMATE or START icon, depending on your vehicle.

2. Keep holding the icon until the words Keep Holding are no longer displayed. This will take approximately two seconds.

3. The button will say Sent once the command is successful.

4. On some vehicles, the cabin temperature will be shown above the button (updated every 3 minutes).

SET DESIRED CABIN TEMPERATURE DURING PRECONDITIONING (SELECT MODELS ONLY)

On some models, after remote starting, you can pre-set the target temperature for the vehicle’s interior cabin.

1. Tap the CLIMATE icon to adjust your desired temperature.

2. The first time you use the feature, a drawer will pop up with the temperature displayed.

3. Slide your finger left or right or use the arrow icons to adjust the temperature.

4. Tap Done to save the temperature, and the current cabin temperature will be displayed.

5. The button on the Home screen will now say “warming to” or “cooling to” your target temperature.

EXTENDED REMOTE START

On some models, after you remote start the vehicle, a countdown timer will display how much time remains before the vehicle will automatically shut itself off.

1. After you remote start the vehicle, a menu will appear.

2. Tap Extend or Reset (depending on your model). This will send a second remote start command to your vehicle. You can only send two consecutive remote start commands.

3. The countdown timer will change to display the new remaining time.

REMOTE LOCK/UNLOCK

Remotely unlock or lock your vehicle’s doors.

1. From the app’s Home screen, press and hold the LOCK or UNLOCK icon.

2. Keep holding the icon until the words Keep Holding are no longer displayed. This will take approximately two seconds.

3. In addition to remote start and lock/unlock, your vehicle may also support additional remote commands from the mobile app.

a. Tap View More below the POWER icon to find additional options.

b. Stop/start alarm: Press and hold the SOUND ALARM or STOP ALARM icon.

c. Flash lights: Press and hold the FLASH LIGHTS icon or the STOP LIGHTS icon.

Q&As

Why do I have to hold the button in the app to issue a remote command?

The approximately two-second hold is an industry standard designed to help avoid accidental presses of the button, so you don’t unintentionally start or unlock your vehicle. When you press the icon, the app will remind you to “Keep Holding” until the command is issued. When the command is successful, the button will say “Sent.”
